My Chegg Graduation

When I joined Zinch.com in 2011 it was to do something big. Our goal was to change the way students and schools connect. Shortly thereafter we joined forces with Chegg to build a connected learning platform that helps students save time, save money, and get smarter from the moment they are thinking about going to college to when they are beginning to prepare for their first career.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve learned so much. I’ve had the opportunity to field numerous research studies on student engagement via digital and social media, as well as present these studies (and some pretty fun whitepapers) at conferences and college campuses across the country and around the world. These studies have brought me to places and topics I never thought I’d explore … from rankings methodologies to predictive analytics and so much more.
To say I am extremely grateful for these opportunities would be a huge understatement. The work that we’ve been able to accomplish on behalf of supporting better student outcomes is amazing. Today, Chegg serves more students than ever before.
In January, Chegg entered a strategic partnership with the National Research Center for College and University Admissions (NRCCUA) to combine Chegg’s student inquiry and digital engagement programs with NRCCUA’s over 44 years of experience in direct-to-student engagement and research insights.
When I joined Zinch the goal was to change the way students and schools connect. In my view, the achievement of bringing new digital marketing services to one of the most established names in enrollment management says, “mission accomplished”. And yet, we’ve only just begun.
With the growth and advancement of technology and data tools comes the opportunity to create the data-enabled enrollment office of the future, today. This opportunity is too big to pass up. So, I am excited to announce that beginning September 2 I will be “graduating” from Chegg (after 6 years I guess that would be a master’s degree?) and moving to NRCCUA to continue my work as their new Director of Marketing.
I look forward to seeing familiar and new faces in Boston in a few short weeks for the NACAC Conference, the AACRAO SEM Conference in Phoenix, and in Atlanta for the AMA Higher Ed Symposium. In the meantime, feel free to connect at my new e-mail address – [email protected].
See you in Boston!
