My Career Adventure at Advans Myanmar - Mrs. May Zin Maung Maung, Manager, Back Support Operations
We would like to introduce Mrs. May Zin Maung Maung, Manager of Back Office-Operations Department, for “My Career Adventure at Advans Myanmar” program.
?? I am May Zin Maung Maung and I work as a Manager in the Back Office-Operations Department of Advans Myanmar, a company that I am proud to be part of.
?? Professional Growth and Key Accomplishment ??
?? I joined Advans as a Branch Accountant in Amrapura, the first branch of the company, in March 2017. It was a challenging and rewarding experience for me. I am also very happy and proud to be part of the First Generation who works with Advans towards our common goal of success.
?? In May 2018, I stepped into the Back Office - Operation Department in Head Office as a Back Support Officer. This gave me the chance to learn and collaborate with colleagues from different departments, and to gain a lot of knowledge from the leaders.
?? I became a Senior Back Support Officer in August 2020. It was a period of learning many valuable lessons and facing many challenges.
?? In June 2022, I advanced to the position of Supervisor. This gave me the chance to improve leadership, social and business skills by supporting counter-related activities, training counter staff, and enhancing business operations in branches.
?? In October 2023, I proudly achieved one of my career goals and became a manager. I always followed the quote “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”, which made me reach this level.
?? I chose Advans mainly due to the full assurance of Job security, collaboration with supervisors and colleagues together, and support of the relevant courses to enhance the skills for my career.

As a Manager, I head up the back support department by majorly contributing to the organizational project and Counter staff’s Management, Development, and capacity building, conducting field missions/desk controls to follow up counter staff activities to ensure operations are in compliance with effective Advans Myanmar Policies, Manuals and supporting on the daily operation to ensure with high efficiency in counter function.
?? I do love Advans because having equal rights regardless of senior/junior position and gender, having full employment opportunities and benefits for employees, and being friendly among colleagues, and caring for each other. Having such a talented individual on our team is truly inspiring.
