My Call into Nursing
How many nurses came into this profession as a second career? Whether it was because of a lack of confidence or just waiting until children grew up so there would be more time to go back to school, it is much more common than you would imagine. As a nurse educator for the last decade, I have seen this scenario played out again and again, and have been so impressed with these students and their devotion and dedication. From my observation, I have noticed that when someone feels deeply called into this profession and then longs for it before finally achieving it, it seems to show up ultimately in the type of care they provide for their patients.

7 年You are precious, Chary! How blessed I've been to have such a seasoned and compassionate Christian nurse such as yourself to support and encourage me over the last decade. It is a pleasure to co-chair the North Texas chapter of Nurses Christian Fellowship with you!
