My brief leadership exchange with US President Bill Clinton

I had the pleasure of exchanging a few words with former US President Bill Clinton in Washington DC on the 7th of May. Irrespective of your opinion of his presidency, and the good/bad foreign US policy, Bill acknowledged that life at the top is not easy. A man realises the good and bad things that follow him through life, and the decisions that he undertakes all have consequences. I tried to paraphrase something Bill said "We love our tribes. Be proud of your tribe but dont be arrogant to believe you are superior than others and think that you have a right to control and supress them. A life full of hatred is a wasted life. I am sorry if you lost loved one. I am sorry for everyones loses. However, the only way to ensure their deaths are not in vein is to work together with all the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to ensure a brighter future for the generations to come." You are right Bill. It is up to the next generation to overcome the mess that that has been leftover. I rolled up my sleeves a long time ago and started to do my part to inspire, educate & reconcile the next generation of Bosnians, Serbs and Croats in my multiethnic homeland of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
