.. My Breaking News story goes viral

I broke an amazing story on 2CC on Friday.

Not only did it get picked up by 7News, News.com, Telegraph, Daily News, and WA Today among others in Australia, but it also was published in U.K. newspapers.

The real hero of the story is Dr Jim Chalmers - the Federal Treasurer - for talking about his battle with a melanoma.

Not just the initial diagnosis in 2020 but also his recovery, as explained during his guest appearance on my radio show on 2CC Canberra Friday Jan 6th 2023.

What wasn't revealed, until now, is that he had a set back in his recovery and he's still seeing a doctor every six months for follow up. This is fresh information.

But it's his decision to go public with this information and make so many others aware about the importance of check ups. He's using his own personal experience to get the message across.

I know, because of his words, I'm getting regular check ups now. I hope this motivates others to do the same. Catching it early can save your life.
