Tomorrow is a big day for me. It is a dream come true to bring my debut novel to the English reading market.
Thursday Oct 1, 2020. I cannot wait to write about it in my journal tomorrow.
My name Vanessa means butterfly. I have used the symbolism all my life — metamorphosis, movement, motion — and I feel like I can add my book Forget-me-not Forever to the list as well.
A butterfly won't know whether it can fly until it tries. Same thing with books. We release them, to see where the stories will land. Hopefully in people's hearts, because that's where the emotions live. That's where we connect.
And that — connecting — is a major reason why I wrote Forget-me-not Forever. Thematically, it is also the red thread of the story. Connecting with people, and places.
