My ambition, passion and mission is to bring to China ONLINE high quality British food and drink challenger brands

My journey into food and drink is no accident and came about through having a health issue which I was determined to fix without an operation. The fulfilment of seeing the body recover through natural ingredients was super powerful to the extent that I took a leap of faith to leave another industry, a comfortable lifestyle of 20+ years. I gave it all up to follow my heart and passion into another industry. I had no contacts, but an over whelming passion for brands using natural ingredients who combine them into products for consumers, to provide benefits for immunity, long term health and well-being.

It was only through research and studying export markets that I discovered Asia has some of the highest levels of type 2 diabetes and blood pressure in the World.  Having worked with factories in China I owe my success to those incredible people who turned my designs into reality to produce high quality products that sold fantastically well throughout all the major retailers in the UK. I therefore have a huge respect and affection for the people and culture, so this was my calling to make a difference to bring to China amazing British snack food and functional drink challenger brands that can provide better and healthier products for Chinese people.

Selling online D2C has only been amplified further in the light of Covid and with the opportunity to connect with anyone and everyone around the World storytelling has never been so powerful to attract us emotionally to authentic brand stories.

This is essential for building brand awareness, trust and loyalty where you can connect and resonate with your community around products that provide a solution for better health and well-being.  The ambition is to bring to China online ambient snack food and functional drink brands that can provide a benefit to health through their natural and functional ingredients.

What is important is how to connect with Chinese people and sell through social media activity and be able to do this in a cost effective way through a digital marketing plan.

It is all about how to find the health-conscious consumer community rather than trying to attract an audience which can be far more costly. Creating social interaction with young Chinese people in getting their feedback is crucial to building the brand. Having them share their moments through live streaming or video around the aroma, flavours, textures and explaining the benefits to health in a really fun and enjoyable way can connect people to experience the products far better.

It is all about bringing new experiences around combinations of food and drink to Chinese people who are excited by flavour and innovation. How to connect excellent challenger brands with people in China through creative thinking, is where the excitement lies. It is all about wanting to provide better and healthier food and drink choices that are high in quality and from trusted sources for the benefit to people for long term health.

Agreed David yesterday saw the 1000th Functional Medicine practitioner achieve Certification , all corners of the world represented in that cohort. These globally represented practitioners commonly seek knowledge about how to prevent chronic lifestyle diseases ( high blood pressure , obesity , cancer , Alzheimer’s ). We are witnessing a clear shift away from the current paradigm of health which is what disease will I get ( cancer , CVD etc.. )? Moving towards taking charge of our own health outcome & building our own resilience . A Lifestyle Medicine approach .
