My amazing week-long work experience at Day One Strategy

I recently had the excellent opportunity to complete a week of work experience at Day One Strategy , a global healthcare insight and strategy agency. During my time there, I gained valuable hands-on experience in research and data analysis, while also shadowing the Research Executive Alessandra Costantini during internal calls. This gave me a unique glimpse into the world of market research.?

The team at Day One Strategy was incredibly welcoming and supportive from start to finish. They provided mentorship and guidance throughout the week, which allowed me to grow and learn in a professional environment. I was given the opportunity to enhance my analytical skills by working with simulated data and presenting my findings in a mock interview, for which I received both positive and constructive feedback. I also put together a presentation on Competitive Intelligence, specifically in #AI within the pharmaceutical research industry. I then presented this to some members of the team, giving me the opportunity to apply my presentation skills in a professional setting.?

I even had the chance to join Hayley Managan, Samantha Fernando Alessandra Costantini Jess Watson on their volunteering day, where we braved the rain and went litter picking in Kingston. It was a great way to give back to the community while connecting with more team members.?

Overall, this experience has opened my eyes to the healthcare insight and strategy industry and equipped me with essential skills that I am keen to develop further. I am hugely grateful to the Day One Strategy team for their kindness, encouragement and professionalism during my time with them and I look forward to applying everything I have learnt in my future opportunities.?
