My Alertnest Alert & Update

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a breath and let you know what's been going on with me and the new company I lead, alertnest.

I was named CEO of the company this past May, and we've been building a new company centered on being that "go to" application for all the information you care about as you conduct your life real time. That said, our initial focus was on making available knowledge of the crime that is happening around you, your neighborhoods, etc., as well as the activities of interest that you might want to attend or participate at. We initially debuted this capability and information on our website, https://alertnest.com/map shortly after starting the company. In November, we released our free mobile application downloadable from the Google Play and Apple application stores and have continued to release new functionality every few weeks to both our website, alertnest.com and mobile applications.

Regarding both crime and events, we continue to pursue more and more sources of data to increase your value add of alertnest for real-time information around you; and next up on events, we will be providing you with the capability to purchase tickets inside alertnest as well as add your own events you would like your community to know about/participate in.

We had a great week at CES in Las Vegas January 6-10. All of our key team members were there. We talked to customers and potential partners. Got a lot of fantastic input. Foot traffic in our booth stayed strong throughout the show, and we left CES with a very positive head of steam.

Since our participation at CES, and continued releases of new capabilities to our website and mobile applications, we implemented our E911 service onto our mobile applications and have reached an agreement with FEMA to showcase their alerts too. We continue to talk to many other organizations about adding their information and alerts to alertnest.

I am committed to creating a great consumer app for alertnest where you truly are spared the "noise" and have the information "real time" and "relevant" to you. With all of our conversations with potential partners and affiliates, we emphasize what engineers call the signal-to-noise ratio. We want pure signal, and no noise. Our alerts and content need to be clear, focused, and highly valuable to you as our application learns you and gives you what's relevant and of interest to you.

Creating the greatest content ecosystem for you is our main focus, which we think brings us competitive differentiation and sets us up to blow past any competition as that key “go to” for millions of users.

Please visit our website, download our app, and keep checking in to see all the new stuff we're adding. I also welcome all comments about how we can improve, and encourage everyone to join the alertnest journey.
