Question: Have you tried Chat GPT for your business?
It's early days... and as of today, July 2023... I've seen decidedly dodgy results if you actually want to publish something it has created over just using it as an idea generation tool...
Below I share one experiment that I started out thinking, let's get an idea for a LinkedIn post... 50 minutes later I gave up and just spent 5 minutes writing one from scratch!
The Experiment
This morning I asked ChatGPT Open Source to write a LinkedIn Post incorporating a framework using an acronym to help your business grow sustainably.
Then it went on to share the LAUNCH Framework it had generated
To be honest, part of me was amazed at the speed and relevancy on first glance. It was a bit like the serotonin rush you get when something amazing happens.
It came up with a LAUNCH framework and true it had some reasonable points in it. “I could use this!!” I thought with delight ??
But on closer reading I saw it was over-hyped and generalised, pulling from trashy ad campaigns. ??
It hadn't actually answered what I thought I'd asked ... so my prompt needed to be tweaked. Despite feeding in my tone, style and a context statement - it wasn’t me. ??

A quick google showed me that it had just pulled from summary articles such as this one: Top 13 frameworks for product launch strategy
So I tried a few more prompts; getting more specific and changing the emphasis and tone... but I had now spent 30 minutes at this... which is more than enough time to have written what was in my head at the start.
- There was nothing unique, it was missing Sparkle ?
- It started to feel like Digital Junk in the making ??

After 50 minutes I threw the digital towel in and decided that the process was worth sharing here... so maybe it did become of use?

My Final Thought and a Warning: My expertise is safe. Don’t use AI to create frameworks for your business. We can make them SO much better than a bland "me-too" acronym...
