My ACE Interview Experience
My name is Chenga Daw, and I am originally from Bhutan where I worked for a couple of years as an electrical & communication engineer. In 2020, I came to Australia for my master’s degree program. Despite of COVID, I successfully completed the Instrumentation, Control, and Automation Engineering course from Edith Cowan University. After the graduation, I worked as a control system engineer on the Forresetfield Airport Link (FAL) project. From that, I developed my passion and knowledge on utility SCADA engineering. After a lengthy market research, I found that Australian Control Engineering (ACE) stood out amongst the crowd within the utility industry. Therefore, I called ACE and asked for an opportunity. Yu Jordan Zhao returned my call me in a matter of minutes out of curtesy. Despite his hectic schedule, he called me again next day to gain further understanding of my situation. He then requested my CV and the names of my references. He set a date and invited me to come to his office.
The ACE's in-person interview consists of two parts: a behavioural interview and a technical examination. ACE allowed me enough time in their office for the talent evaluation to complete my skill assessment. The evaluation activities were challenging, but with Yu Jordan Zhao's support, I was able to complete them.

The ACE interview was a fascinating experience for me. It allowed everyone to see my knowledge, my attitude to coping with pressure, and my dedication to fixing the issues.
Yu Jordan Zhao did not know me, but he respected me, listened to me, and inquired about my interest in working for ACE as a SCADA engineer. Whilst I am looking forward to working for such a great company, I invite all like-minded talents to join me in this exciting journey to become a market leader by growing not only technical skills but also professionalism and leadership.
