For my 36th Birthday, I'm Raising Funds for St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Santa Barbara CA.

My 36th birthday is on May 5th (really?!) Since I am solo Quarantining and the shelter-in-place won't allow for any parties in Santa Barbara, Napa or any [insert fun place that is not my condo here], I'd like to try and raise money for a non-profit that is near and dear to my heart - my home parish, the Santa Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. My story is below, and I hope you will consider.

Upon moving to Santa Barbara seven years ago, the Santa Barbara Greek Orthodox Church (Saint Barbara) has become my second home.

I've made some of my closest friends, become deeply involved with the community, the Young Adult League, and helped organize and support the various events that we throw for the community including the Big Greek Festival!

Right before Covid-19 hit, I was in the process of planning the Church's 2nd largest fundraiser of the year - the annual Golf Tournament. Due to the shelter-in-place order, everything has been canceled. The Greek Festival in July (our second biggest fundraiser) has also been postponed.

These are two of the churches biggest fundraisers, with the funds supporting the parish, paying the priests salary and maintaining ministries we have worked so hard to build. With shelter-in-place, stewardship is also down.

I would love to play be able to play my part and support the church during this time. Thank you for helping me help support my second home -- > the place where I want to get married someday and baptize my kids, and the place that has given back so much to me during my time in Santa Barbara.
