How do you guide your life?
Do you have a set of questions, beliefs or ideas that guide your life and decision making? Have you ever thought about this question? Or what your 'universal truths' might be?
I live by three 'truths' that guide my life and decision making. Today I want to share those with you, or anyone who might be interested, feel free to borrow them if they resonate with you.
- We are all going to die.
- You have to be you until you die.
- Change is constant.
Now what this means to me is...
- We are all going to die. This means that TIME is the most valuable resource we have, and the only thing we can fully control for ourselves. It is a resource that can never be replenished, you can never get more of it, and it only travels in one direction. So cherish the time you have on Earth, value your relationships and enjoy every moment.
- You have to be you until you die. So find a way to LOVE yourself, as you are the one-and-only person you are always with. Have your own back, find what makes you happy, and spend time with yourself doing those things.
- Change is constant. Learn to ROLL with the punches. If you accept they always come, you'll be better prepared when they inevitably surprise you.
What are your beliefs? What are your truths? What drives your decision making? I would love to hear them :)
