My 3 Morning Habits: Read, Run, & Think
Everyone has a daily routine, especially when it comes to working out. For me, it’s exercising in the morning to start my day off right. This early morning workout improves my energy and keeps me focused throughout the day. It also allows me to exercise my brain and focus on a topic of interest before I get absorbed by life.
Here’s my daily routine:
1. Read: Every morning, I wake up, drink 32oz of water, and read a book or magazine article that stimulates my curiosity or interests. 20 – 30 minutes
2. Run: I prefer to run in the early morning between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. For two reasons, it’s cooler and quiet, which typically means there are no distractions. Depending on the day, I run between 3 to 5 miles. 25-45 minutes
3. Think: This early morning run provides the perfect environment to focus your attention on your thoughts and readings. In the end, I’m in a better mood and have accomplished two of my personal goals for the day.
Running and reading early in the morning can improve your overall concentration and energy to start the day right!
