My 25 Years at Hexagon: A Celebration of Growth, Diversity, and Change

This year marks my 25th anniversary with Hexagon, a journey that has placed me in diverse roles, responsibilities, divisions and even continents. From the Netherlands to France and the UAE, from Marketing to Sales to ADR, and back to Marketing, from supporting to guiding to coaching to leading, my career has been dynamic and constantly evolving. When I first joined Hexagon (formerly Intergraph) as a Marketing Assistant, I never anticipated spending my entire career with the same company. However, my journey at Hexagon has debunked the narrative of frequent job changes for career growth, demonstrating that the right company can offer an even broader spectrum of opportunities.

Proof of Growth and Opportunity

Over time, as I advanced to roles such as Marketing Specialist, Sales and Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Executive Director of ADR & Marketing, and eventually VP of Marketing, each transition became a gateway to a new world. Not only did these transitions change my job titles but they also reshaped my perspectives, skill sets and even locations. Working for different divisions and industries plus living and working in different countries has enriched my understanding of global markets, cultural nuances in business, and the qualities required to succeed in different environments. This extensive experience has been pivotal in developing my strategic mindset and a no-nonsense attitude towards achieving business objectives.

My tenure at Hexagon has been a celebration of continuous learning and adaptation. From sales prospecting to supporting complex sales tenders, initiating new marketing campaigns to leading demand generation strategies, being part of acquisitions and integrations and coaching teams across the globe, each role has been a steppingstone, adding depth to my professional capabilities. The diversity of my experiences within the same company has disproved the common cliché that spending decades at a single company equates to a stagnant career.

Gratitude and Reflection

This journey has been one full of gratitude. Hexagon has been more than just a workplace; it has helped me enable both my personal and professional growth.
