Hello to my future employer,

Let me introduce myself: My name is Elijah Collins, and I'm a multi-hyphenate content creator from the Bay Area. In thinking of how to share my background with you, I found it hard to get a visual representation of all my work and past experiences. I wanted to create something outside the box that's more engaging and fun. With this Digital Resume, you can get to know me in a different way, before or after our interview.

My earliest work goes back to 2008, and since then I've produced content in a wide range of mediums and formats - from podcasts to filming live events and traveling the world with a 35 mm camera in hand.

In 2020, I became a freelance contractor in the music and entertainment space. I’ve always gotten a kick out of being a creative swiss army knife, and being a contractor allows me to stretch my expertise in many directions. I have a strong work ethic and adaptable skills that can contribute to your organization's overall success.

EQ House | September 2022 |

Project Description: Created a podcast for EQ.House, which is an online resource produced by HIFI Labs to develop the most transparent and organized views of the music industry possible by leveraging collective knowledge and experience.?The podcast features a conversation with Marcus Ghiasi MA, AMFT on fatigue and burnout as a musician.

Project Role: I was the host and I also produced, recorded, and edited the podcast.

Zeallous | July 2022 | Live Event Videography / Demo Reel

Project Description: The 2022 Demo Reel features completed video productions for various up-and-coming bands in the Bay Area. This reel showcases my video editing, color grading, motion graphics, and filmmaking skills. I've included links to clips of various live concerts over the past five years.

Project Role: Directed, shot, edited, and color-corrected all the footage in this reel! The content was either shot on the Canon 6 D or the Sony AR7ii.

Helen St. MixR | July 2021 | Filming, Editing, & Motion Graphics

Project Description: Helen St. MixR (HSM) is a West Oakland art pop-up focused on building a collaborative platform supporting freedom of expression, music, food, art, and artist of all kinds. "Community-Based, Community inspired," - Adam Dowling. For the past three summers, we’ve grown from a small audience on Zoom to a produced live show on Twitch. I helped direct and manage the live broadcast shows.

Project Role: All performances were shot by Brooke A. Price and myself. I edited, color-corrected, and added the animations for all the videos.

Helen St. MixR | May 2021 | OBS Layout

Project Description: The iconic Helen St. MixR (HSM) logo has been a staple in the music community for over seven seasons. In 2022, HSM celebrated its third season online. The goal was to make the layout simple, charming, and polished. Ros3Wrld the lead graphic artist designed the street sign and I animated it along with the clouds in Adobe After Effects. I designed the layout in Canva , and this made it easy to create a layout that matched the energy Helen St. MixR brings to independent local musicians.

Project Role: I redesigned the HSM layout with updated animation and graphics. The layout operates through Open Broadcast System (OBS) for the HSM Twitch channel.

Live Music & Headshots | 2019 - 2021 | Photography

Project Description: In 2015, my friend Herman Sandhu asked if I knew anyone who could photograph his band. I threw my hat in the ring, and since then, I've taken thousands of photos of bands from all different genres and backgrounds. I capture footage throughout the night and of the live performances for each artist to use on their respective social media accounts. The idea was to take photos that give people FOMO, making them wish they had attended the event.

Project Role: Photographer and editor on all the photos.

Project Description: Hired as the photographer to shoot headshots for a website, LinkedIn, and various social media channels with Meghan Ghiasi .

Miscellaneous Projects | 2021 - Present | Graphic Design

Project Description: As a photographer, videographer, and DJ, I taught myself graphic design to promote events that I host or support. My design process allows me to make quick and effective updates, and help my clients easily publish the content to their respective social media channels.

Project Description: Design promotional material for the speakers to use to promote ticket sales for the 2022 Balanced Breakfast Music Summit.

BlckSpkz | 2011 - Present | DJ

At an early age, I had a deep love and passion for music. Gospel, Soul, House, Jazz, and 1990s Hip Hop music were big inspirations for me growing up.?In 2011, I launched my DJ career in San Francisco, getting my start at friends' house parties. Performing at these parties shaped the foundation of the DJ I am today. These moments taught me how to control the vibe in the room, and how to get people on the dance floor.?

Project Description: To produce mixes consisting of edits and remixes to a variety of popular hip-hop, house, r&b, and pop music. You can find these mixes on Mixcloud, Soundcloud, and on my radio show Vibe CNTRL Radio on BFF.fm: Best Frequencies Forever.

Project Role: DJ or Music curator, host, and graphic designer.
