My 2019 Stock Predictions
1) Apple (AAPL) buys out Sonos (SONO) to get more Apple Music in the home.
2) Starbuck's (SBUX) unveils cannabis-infused beverages in countries where recreational pot is legal (such as Canada) in order to combat sluggish U.S. sales;
3) Netflix (NFLX) buys out AMC Theaters (AMC) as the surprising trend toward brick & mortar for Silicon Valley grows which would provide valuable distribution for its expensive original content and movies;
4) Luxembourg-based JAB Holdings buys out Dunkin Brands (DNKN) adding to its already impressive caffeinated empire (which includes Panera Bread, Krispy Kreme, Einstein Brothers, Caribou, Peet's & Keurig) with an eye on a future IPO of those coffee assets (with my suggested ticker symbol CAFF);
5) Target (TGT) will strengthen its position in the grocery aisle with a buyout of privately-held Albertson's/Safeway, Kroger (KR) or Dutch grocer, Ahold Delhaize (ADRNY) to compete more vigorously in food and food delivery with Walmart (WMT) and, additionally, Amazon (AMZN) will not buy Target as many people have predicted because I do not believe the FTC will ever allow AMZN to acquire another major retailer (like the Whole Foods in 2017) to protect future competition.
