My 15 best Productivity Apps for 2018

2018 is just started and I can see a lot New Year’s Resolutions and Productivity goals articles on Linkedin that makes me think that maybe the world doesn't need another one, so I will not write another long post about how I intend to break all my productivity records or how I intend to save the world on 2018.

I will only write an article sharing the 15 most essential applications I will use to get there!!!! Most of my favorite apps are related to getting things done, productivity and to get myself organized and managing my priorities. Check it out:

1. TickTick (free)

TickTick is a simple and effective to-do list and task manager app which helps you make a schedule, manage time, remind about deadlines and organize life at work, home and everywhere else. It helps me to make the most of my day and get things done! Available on iOS, Mac, Windows (Preview) and Android.

2. CloudApp (free, limited) (Mac/Windows)

Probably one app that saved hours my interactions with my teams during 2017. CloudApp helps me to capture screens and turn it into an HD screen or webcam recording, GIF, or annotated screenshots and instantly get a link to share it easily.

3. WeDo (free)

WeDo is a simple to-do list app. It offers habit tracking in addition to essential lists and tasks, available on Android, Web + iOS, which brings together shared lists, habits + calendar view.

4. Nirvana HQ (free)

Nirvana is a cloud-based task manager that keeps me in sync with unlimited to-dos, schedule tasks, able to filter items by time, energy, and labels - With Nirvana HQ I can decide where to put my focus with Areas. This is a very helpful tool that can help you to get things done.

Apps for the modern Project Manager

The following apps are perfect for Project Managers. I have been using some of them during last year on my projects, and probably they will be handy this new year too!

5. TaskWorld (free, with pricing)

This is an all-in-one Project management tool that helps me to keep everything in one place, with chat, planning tools, video calls and so much more together. Taskworld uses a variety of advanced tools, including burnup and burndown charts, project analytics, and advanced security. The power of Taskworld lies in being able to transform abstract ideas into active and prosperous tasks.

6. Zenkit (free, with pricing) (Web, iOS/Android)

Zenkit is an excellent application to improve collaboration, increase overall productivity, and bring transparency to your workflow. It is a reasonably new creative way to projects and activities. From Kanban boards to sheets, Zenkit brings all the layouts to the table.

7. Trello (free)

Trello is an easy to get started with tool for planning/ smaller projects + team goals too. Trello utilizes the concept of boards (which correspond to projects), and within boards, there are cards (which represent tasks). ... As project management and collaboration system, Trello enables members to discuss a project or a task in real-time.

8. Swipes Workspace (free, with pricing)

Swipes is a beautiful and fresh-new tool to project manager, perfect for who wants to plan with a clean design. It helps you automatically collect all your tasks in one place, organize them according to your priorities and then work on a single job at a time to achieve better focus.

Staying focused

The following apps help me to keep focused on productivity and concentration during my days.

9. Oak Meditation (free) (iOS)

Productivity comes in many forms. For many people, I work with, and for me, meditation and mindfulness are significant ones. There is a shortage of mindfulness and meditation apps on the App Store. However, Oak, from the company founded by Digg creator Kevin Rose, differs from most in that it is completely free. Oak is the easiest way to learn guided meditation in just 10-minutes a day. Meditate to the sound of distant rain, waterfalls, or other soothing background tracks. Oak's simple mindfulness practice is a great way to reduce stress, improve sleep, and find a natural balance in life.

An advanced Mac application on the Mac App Store. allows you to manage your work better. You can access the tasks planned for today at any time. You can access overdue and completed tasks* at any time.

11. Notion (free, limited) (Mac/iOS)

is a blend of Trello + Paper + Evernote. A unified & collaborative workspace for your notes, wikis, and tasks. is a bunch of widgets and management apps combined into one awesome package. I have been using it for several months now, and it works well. It is most useful for team projects, where you can make an entire directory of pages for the different types of tasks you need to handle and keep all progress and information synced into one app.

Becoming a note-taking expert.

Taking notes about everything is becoming one of my most important productivity secrets. Moreover, using an excellent set of tools really can help me to get there.

12.aWriter (From $4.99)

A very light writing application for Mac/Android & iOS, well-designed and easy to get started with. If you are in search of a site that doesn't just stick to essay writing services, A-writer may be the one for you as they offer services for any academic paper project you need

13. Microsoft ToDo (free) (All platforms)

Microsoft To-Do is an effective task organizer even for novice users with a pretty design and a smart, suggested daily list that aims to be the replacement for Wunderlist.
