My 16 year old son got into Wharton B School

Friday was the admissions day for all Ivy League schools. The nation's and international top student applicants we were deferred from early admission received emails by noon telling them whether they are in or not.

These schools are really difficult to get in. Some straight "A" students with almost perfect SAT or ACT schools did not make. Seeing a high school senior crying because he has rejected by five schools he applied is really sad. Academic grades is not everything the admission team look at. Some of these kids have never even applied to any other schools.

We are just thankful to God that our some, Simonwas offered a place at Penn, his number one choice during early admission. We wish the other students the best as they check out other colleges.

The term Ivy League has connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism."
