My 13 Laws for Bliss

In some kind of order. Ish:

1. On parents: Forgive your Mum AND your Dad. They did the best they could with what they knew. Your life is only made harder by holding on… Let it all go and set everyone free.

2. On life partners: Love, desire, respect, support and trust your partner with everything you’ve got. And stand for the same in return. Nurture it, cultivate it, take care of it… If you can’t accomplish this no matter how hard you have tried - be willing to walk and let each other get on with your lives.

3. On siblings: Clear the air with your brothers/sisters. That was then… Create your relationship from how it is now. Be there for each other no matter what and let each other get on with your lives all at the same time.

4. On self-awareness: Develop your ability to be present in each and every moment. Notice when you are stuck in your head. Just keep noticing all the noise..

5. On friends: If they are not really your friends, not the kind you really want in your life - just say so. It’s ok to do that. Surround yourself with the people who think you are the sh*t. Because you are. 

6. On work/money: Find something you really love to do, with the people you love doing it with and do it really well. Allow purpose to drive you versus profit.

7. On your environment: Surround yourself with nurturing things that make you happy - family, friends, babies, kids, horses, dogs, cats, plants, candles, flowers, music, books, sheepskin rugs - whatever turns you on… Fill your life up to the brim with your favourite things.

8. On what matters: Figure out what’s most important to you in your life and express those things every day in the areas of your life that are most important to you! (Litmus test is you love that area of your life, you look forward to it, you feel good about it - it just works).

9. On freedom: Don’t go for perfect so much. Just get sh*t done instead. Be more you versus trying to be perfect. F**k perfect - it’s an illusion. 

10. On space: Regularly and unapologetically carve out some space and time for you. Just for you. Recharge, refresh and enjoy more ‘me time’. No excuses, reasons or guilt.

11. On being human: Make it ok to be/feel frightened. We all experience fear sometimes. Just don’t let that sucker stop you. Don’t let it get the better of you. Smash your head through the proverbial wall and trust in your potential.

12. On courage: Get off the couch, switch off the TV and get up to something with your life! Make it count, give it a shot, take risks and just try. There’s magic in that and you’ll look back one day and feel really proud you had the guts.

13. On being a hero: Life is gonna get you sometimes. It does that. Learn to take the punches from the hard times and look the pain dead in the eye. Be with it. Learn from it. Grow from it. And allow yourself to flow with it.... And maybe one day you can even smile and laugh about it.
