As with every innovation, the AI adoption cycle follows the classic path. After the initial excitement that came with tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney, we entered the Trough of Disillusionment. People have formed the opinion that AI is stupid and just another fad after not getting the magic they expected.

We are still in the early days of AI adoption, and many things are far from perfect.?

On the other hand, when I look around the office, AI already helps us on many fronts and brings substantial value to the business.?

Today, I want to share a couple of practical examples of how I personally use ChatGPT, which has pretty much become synonymous with AI, at least when looking at Google Trends.

1. Improving clarity / shortening text

2. Turning a slide (image) into text

3. Turning an image into a table / calculating values from an image

4. Proposing the best emojis

5. Finding a GIF

6. Helping to find alternative expressions

7. Market research and categorization

8. Brainstorming service names

9. Summarizing PDF forms

10. Drafting a response based on a conversation screenshot

11. Exporting research results into a Google Doc

Bonus: Generating a rap song

Combine ChatGPT with the text-to-speech tool Uberduck and a track from Motion Array to create a hilarious promotion announcement in the form of a rap song.

See the final result below.

I hope that some of my examples inspired you. I’m curious to see how you are using ChatGPT at work. Please share in a comment below or send me a direct message.
