Import and Export Activity At The Ports

Recent updates from the ports reveal some noteworthy changes in volume compared to 26 days ago. Most ports have experienced a decrease in volume, but the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Ningbo have seen an increase.

At the Port of Los Angeles, the dwell times for the pool of chassis have remained relatively stable with minimal changes. However, there has been a slight decrease in the utilization of 40ft chassis by 3%.

While the number of import containers waiting on the dock to be loaded onto the rail has increased, the overall number of import containers at the terminal has decreased. On the other hand, export containers have seen an increase.

There has been a significant rise in 40 foot container rates for shipments to and from Asia.
