GAME CHANGER FOR JOB SEEKERS! Applying for jobs? THIS IS A MUST READ!

By Stacy Basham, SPHR, The Caring Recruiter and Miracle HR

If you're among the millions of Americans currently searching for a job, whether due to being laid off, company closures, or simply wanting better employment opportunities, you know how important it is to find the quickest way to get hired. The process can be daunting, with countless hours spent on job boards and search engines submitting resumes and applications. It becomes challenging to remember where you've applied, keep track of unemployment benefit applications, and follow up with companies as recommended by career coaches. Indeed, job searching can feel like a full-time job itself.

Let's put things into perspective. Instead of working your regular eight-hour job, you dedicate eight hours each day to job searching, from Monday to Friday (some even do this on weekends). That amounts to 40 hours per week. Even if we consider the federal minimum wage of $7.25 (remember, some states have higher minimum wages, and the federal minimum is set to

increase in 2024), you would have potentially earned $290 per week. On average, job seekers submit 2-3 applications per day (some of us even do more!). That means you're applying to around 35 jobs every week. However, only 2% of applicants will receive a first-round interview, typically with the recruiter

or job poster. Less than 5% of those individuals will decline the interview.

?

For those who make it past the initial round, second-round

interviews with the hiring manager await (or at least they should). Did you

know that 33% of hiringmanagers decide whether to hire a candidate within the

first 90 seconds of the interview? Yes, it's true. To put it mildly, the odds are not in favor of job seekers. Even if you make it to the second round of interviews, you still need to be at the top of your game. Have you noticed the one thing you must do before even reaching the first interview?

You have to apply to the job!

That means searching multiple job boards, using keywords, hoping the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) can read your resume (we'll discuss this later), and then praying for an interview.

?What if I told you that you could reclaim those 40 hours of job searching and applying? Instead of spending time on job boards, you could do something you enjoy: spend time with your kids, spouse, pets, attend cooking classes, or even binge-watch your favorite TV shows—it's your time. Personally, I'd much rather spend time with my daughter than searching for jobs. Want to know how you can get your time back?

?I am thrilled to announce my partnership with Sonara AI, the AI for job seekers! Sonara's AI will apply to jobs on your behalf, eliminating the need for you to spend eight hours each day in front of your computer screen. Not only will it handle job applications, but it will also provide tools and suggestions to improve your resume, interview skills, and more. It even keeps track of the jobs it applies to, making unemployment benefits applications a breeze.

?I fully admit that it's extremely rare for me toendorse products or services, but this is one that I have to recommend. Sonara AI solves the biggest complaint I hear from job seekers—it eliminates the time required to apply for jobs. Imagine if you were still working full-time but needed to search for a new job. It would be exhausting. With Sonara AI, you can put your job search on autopilot, just

like "set it and forget it!" The more positions you apply to, the greater your chances of landing an interview. Yes, there is a fee based on the number of

applications you would like Sonara AI to handle. The best news is that you can

save 20% off your first order by using code “STACY2023”, How awesome is that?!!
