Must-Have Tech & Tools for the Savvy Corporate Planner
I don’t know about you, but I could always use more time in my day. Us event planners, destination managers, experience builders, and hospitality heroes have amazing jobs – but they can be chaotic and challenging as well. I’m constantly looking for hacks to save myself time and stay organized. And, since I’m always looking for ways to make your lives easier as well, I figured I’d share a few of the 360DG team’s favorite time-saving tools and tech!
#1. In Our Inboxes
I start every morning by reading the Morning Brew newsletter. I love it because it distills down the day’s top news in a concise and engaging way. I can get up to speed on what’s going on in the world with just a few scrolls.??
Another inbox essential? The task features in Outlook. Our team already uses their email every minute of every day, so this is a really seamless way to assign tasks to teammates and collaborate with coworkers on projects. It’s really streamlined our workflow!
#2. In Our Pockets
I’m all-in on apps. I run my daily workouts with the FitOn app and I love browsing the app store for new ones to try. The app currently at the top of my wishlist is Headway EdTech . The daily?15-minute book summaries seem like the perfect way to fit learning into my busy days. If you’ve tried it, shoot me a message! I’d love to hear what you think.
My team loves using the Pomofocus web app to stay hyper focused for 25 minutes at a time. Some days are easier than others, of course! Measurement apps on our phones are also key when we’re out on site visits and need to capture the dimensions for a décor piece or entrance.

#3. For Our Noteworthy Ideas
The iPad and Apple Pen are a killer combination for taking notes, making sketches, and marking up images on the fly. These tools make it so easy to collaborate from afar. For a more economical option, check out a smart notebook like Rocketbook . They’re really easy to use and the lower price point makes them ideal for travel!
#4. Travel and Destination Management
Speaking of, it should come as no surprise that I have a lot of travel tips and tools up my sleeves. Anytime you’re planning a trip (personal or professional!) I recommend a shared Google doc with tabs for your budget, recommendations from friends, and a rough schedule. You can also bookmark your restaurant reservations, lodging, and tours on a custom Google map and share it with anyone you’re traveling with. I also love GuideAlong , formerly GyPSy Guide, and recently used their audio tours to help plan my trip in Hawaii.
My team also likes using Yelp to bookmark restaurants in their destinations that they’ve heard great things about. The map feature makes it really easy to take these insights and offer recommendations based on a group's itinerary.
If you could happily go the rest of your life without standing in line at another airport car rental – you’re in luck. Turo 's car sharing service is so convenient, especially for short term rentals. They also get big bonus points from me for supporting Maui fire relief.?
I hope you’ve found at least one thing here to download or try out. As always, message me if you think there’s something great out there that I haven’t tried yet!
Last, but not least, I’d like to thank our 360DG IT guru, Jared Cash ! He is always willing to hop in to help us improve our processes, security, and procure the tools we need to make our work lives better. Thank you, Jared, for all that you do for us.
