This is not to instill fear but this has become the sad reality of our world,we should never live in fear, however we can not be blind to what's going on out there, there are still places where Active shooter(aggressor) is still a "dirty" word, people don't want to talk about it,put the conversation on the floor...we can't be naive, we must make this a conversation.

I was consulted by a client to provide an active shooter awareness seminar and when I presented my material, taken from several open sources including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's information of Run, Hide, Fight, the client was more or less mortified and the seminar never took place. Increasingly in the security world, those with little to no experience about the realities of the world we live in believe that ignoring the issue will make it go away.
