Muskuraiye, aap Qatar mein hain!?

Not something people might say now; but will say in the future!

Qatar has been in the spotlight especially in the last week. From banning alcohol to their horrible track records when it comes to women’s rights (& human rights as a whole), LGBTQIA+ representation or their ‘modern day slavery’ of South Asian immigrant workers, Qatar has been at the center of controversies.

But today let’s take a look at something beyond the short term developments and the negative news media. Today, we breakdown how Qatar seeks to be an example of all-round development and audacious thinking.

Too much to take in? No problem, let’s take it one by one!

Lagg gayi, lagg gayi…NAUKRI lagg gayi! ??

At least that’s what the Qatari government’s bold predictions say.

With millions of people flying in and staying for this month-long event, you bet this small little country needs to go all guns blazing to handle it all. Qatar at least seems to be on the right track.?

It predicts that the FIFA World Cup will generate >1.5Mn jobs not just in tourism and hospitality but also in the construction and real estate sectors.

Paisa hi paisa hogaaaa! ??

Hosting the biggest sporting tournament in the world is no small feat…at least not for businesses who’re constantly in search of new and unsaturated investment destinations.?

Pretty sure that the 1Mn+ footfall?? ?? ??, massive infrastructural development, and tourism-friendly services is enough to catch the eyeballs of some of the biggies out there. Besides, host countries are always on their radar??

In fact, Qatari officials claim that this event alone could help in generating as much as $17 Bn for the economy. While the primary beneficiaries would be hotels, malls, shops, and transportation, there are a few others who’ll have a sweet sweet share in this big pie.

These include players like housing (especially rental) and real estate, and security service providers, and especially the raw material suppliers (oil, gas, machinery, concrete, cement, and whatnot). You can’t build a new port, airport, or city as well as 1000s of KMs of roads ???and metros ??just like that!

What’s this doing on Classplus’ page????

If one was to sum up Qatar’s whole plan…it’s a result of ambitious goal setting and an all-round development. Something that Classplus often strives for.

This massive makeover that Qatar is undergoing is all part of their Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030). The focus under this is on human, social, economic and environmental development through the domestic sports industry. So, the FIFA World Cup as well as the 2023 Asia Cup and F1???in the future are all part of its sports diplomacy efforts under this plan.

In simple words, through sports, Qatar doesn’t just aim for economic and infrastructural development. There’s an equal focus on creating jobs and transforming Qatar’s culture from an inward looking monarchy to a global metropolis???; a hub that’s the go-to place for events, expos, and even a nice little vacation!????

At Classplus too, our aim is to digitally empower educators and content creators??. Our vision is to make educators having their own online brands, the new normal! Qatar’s success in organizing an event of this magnitude is the perfect example to prove that no shot is too big to take…and that’s the reason everyone here at Classplus aims and nails for a MOONSHOT ??(a shot which is seemingly impossible but doable with the right push!)

Classplus News ??

Talking of Moonshots, we at Classplus always want to lead by example.?

So, here is a team of super awesome folks who nailed an ambitious moonshot.

Congratulations Jawed, Nazim, Rakesh, and Anubhav…you guys are the true rockstars!??

Sifaarishein ??(Recommendations)

It’s football season guys!?

While you watch the heroes of modern-day football duke it out on the field, check out this classic that mixes the sport with a little World War 2 history. Say whaaaa?!??

Based loosely on a true story, this film deals with a bunch of Nazi P.O.Vs who have to play an exhibition soccer match against the Nazi footbal team (only to realize that they’re being used for a Nazi Propaganda stint)??

What transpires is what you gotta see to know.

Besides, who wouldn’t want to watch Sylvester Stallone and Michael Cain team up with legendary footballers? on screen like Pele, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo Ardiles, Kazimierz Deyna, Paul Van Himst, Mike Summerbee, Hallvar Thoresen and Werner Roth!
