Musings of a Teacher

After reading my classmate Sitakant's post (https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/sitakant-tripathy-a7252718_discussions-on-achievements-generally-circle-activity-6840214813440909312-9ork) and receiving my own heartwarming message on teacher’s day, I couldn’t resist penning down my two cents on the topic.
In my previous organization, I trained new employees on product simulation. My students often told me that I was one of the best teachers they’d had. I guess my quirky sense of humour somehow kept them interested in an otherwise overwhelmingly technical subject. Most of these new employees were fresh out of college, taking their first step into the corporate world, so I also helped them get into the swing of things.
For me, teaching/coaching/mentoring has been one of the most gratifying experiences ever. Nothing gives more pleasure than to see your proteges have their own moments in the sun. With that kind of satisfaction, one doesn’t actively seek gratitude. However, when one does receive it, as I did today, the feeling of joy is indescribable.
With my new role reversal from teacher to student, I realize how a simple ‘Thank You’ note can make a teacher’s day. And so, I would like to thank all my teachers and professors for their time, patience, and guidance. Happy Teacher’s Day to you all!
Very well articulated ??
