Musings of a new world

I’ve gone through many ups and many downs in 2020, and I've learned things I never thought I had to whilst being in an imperfect state. This is why I learned that change can actually be a good thing, the hard way. Change if handled without fear can create positive situations wherein the longer term you reap the benefit and rewards. As Mullins said, only with change you can grow. This is exactly what happened to me 

From being in a completely new environment after a decade at F&S, learning about new technologies and research methods, new ways of working, and a different culture. To having an enforced work-from-home mandate, not only because of the pandemic but also because I needed to focus on improving the health of a loved one. 

The uncomfortable upside was that I was forced to start my own company early. A plan that I had originally wanted to embark on when I hit 40. A quote hit me when I was at my lowest, "Make movements, not noise", and that’s what I set out to do with a drive like never before. 

The last year has been ripe with challenges but so many positives as well— which ai technologies can I incorporate? ,... what is the ‘new normal’ gap for businesses?,... whom shall I partner with?...what true value add can we offer to clients?... and the list went on. 

These learnings, with the help of my partners and clients, gave birth to what XfinitySG Singapore is today. Our tagline “Empower change, Spearhead Growth” hits home as I remember how I feared change, whilst now I empower individuals and organizations to embrace it positively with the right tools. After our experience with clients during the year, in the thick of the pandemic, we are a proud firm that supports individuals and organizations through change— internal and external transformation through coaching, workshops, in-market pivots and new market forays. Using innovative training methods, AI research tools, and consulting frameworks, the XfinitySG team enables clients at all levels of an organization, providing them with an edge in making decisions. 

The dynamics of this post-2020 world mandates transformation for organizations as a whole and not in its individual parts. It is now a necessity, not a “good to have” or “we’ll get to this later”. 

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, from family and friends to ex-colleagues who are now family, you encouraged me and helped me stay steadfast to build (and continue to build) my goal early… you know who you are :)
