In the world of live music, talent, preparation, facility, and a little bit of luck brings to the stage pure excitement and creativity. It just doesn't happen magically. Each member of the group understands their role as to when to lead and when to follow. With a constant awareness of our surroundings we balance tempo, volume, intensity, musical complexities, crowd engagement, sound irregularities, and our individual performance to execute a seamless set night after night. In early May, four musicians walked on stage to perform for the first time together as a group. Emmy Award winning vocalist Clint Holmes, pianist/arranger Christian Tamburr, bassist Billy Thornton, and drummer Billy Williams Jr. Together they journeyed through the music of the great american song book to todays popular songs by artists like Stevie Wonder and John Mayer.
When a team listens to each other and performs for the music as a whole, each individual is then elevated, recognized, and rewarded. Please take a moment to listen to a few select tracks from this exciting weekend of music at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas.
