Music Touches all People and Cultures

Over spring break our family unexpectedly discovered the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Arizona (mim.org), which proved to be very interesting. The advertised 15,000 instruments were real—not merely images, as I had expected. Each country and region was represented. I paused to take a photo at the Mali exhibit, reflecting on the efforts EmpowerMali.org makes to build schools in the region. There are good people in Mali, as well as other parts of the world, making great efforts to help improve the lives of all God’s children. Who knows—maybe someday music will help tie us all together.
