It happened the other day that I went to a bar with live music. The evening was promising, the band was performing the greatest hits, the 80th & 90th of the 20th century. The choice of repertoire - my perfect match. The magic was far more than just the music.
I was observing the musicians on the stage. I do not know their background, education, or the life goals, but together, they had a real FLOW on the stage, their own universe.
And, I was wondering how much they are enjoying togetherness, the energy exchange, each instrument’s contribution to the final output -?the positive vibes they are sending to us, people who came for fun!
Teamwork or team spirit! OR, both!
They are doing their job, each of them fulfilling their role, competent in their skills, confident in their know - how to achieve the end result! The clients are satisfied, and one of them is me.
On the other hand, it is not only about their technical skills and the alignment on rules and norm on their work/play together.
There was a scent in the air.

Firstly, they were showing RESPECT for each band mate. Enough space and time for each solo part of the instrument had been given.
LISTENED TO each other during the song performance, non- verbal communication all the time. They were looking into the eyes of each other, as if trying to reach the deep motivational part of a person and set it upward.
SUPPORTED imperfection. I heard that one of the band member said: “Hey, we have never played this song earlier. ?What shall we do?†And, the other answered: “We will do it, common guys, let’s rock it!â€
Ready to TAKE A RISK and try something new, they are not familiar with 100%
BELIEVED in each other’s strengths.
And, some more … They DANCED, SMILED AND HAD FUN, too!!!:)
