This muscle does a motion called internal rotation, but its main job is to actually provide stability to the front of the shoulder. It is the only muscle of the shoulder that stabilizes it from the front, so it is very important.?

We tend to see issues with anyone that has shoulder pain, especially people that do a lot of pressing or hanging motion. This muscle is really important in many yoga poses as well, especially handstand work and downward dog.?

Lots of pressing, hanging, and loading of the shoulder. Poor posture with shoulders rolling forward. Weak posterior deltoids

When it doesn't work properly it puts more wear and tears on the joint and cartilage in the shoulder, leading to degeneration. It also alters the movement of the shoulder as well and gives it a less favorable mechanical position, which leads to poor force production.?

Don't jam a lacrosse ball in there please, there is a lot of blood vessels and nerves in there that wouldn't like it.?
Get to an expert trained in advanced soft tissue treatments, even better if they are #peakmethod trained, and get it figured out.?
