Muscat Port halts Security Team Embarkations

Please be aware we have recently had the following update from our agents in Muscat;

"This is to inform you that Security & Safety Services of the Royal Oman Police (SSS/ROP) have suspended operations at Muscat a short while ago until further notice, due to adverse weather/rough sea conditions.

As you are probably aware, it is a mandatory requirement for representatives of SSS/ROP to accompany weapons/equipment on the crew launch during transfer, as only the SSS/ROP is authorised to receive/handle weapons from shore to ship and ship to shore."

Citadel Maritime have teams able to embark at Fujairah OPL for any vessels about to leave the Arabian Gulf and unable to collect teams at Muscat.
