Are we truly able to effectively perform multiple tasks at once? Multitasking is a topic that sparks a lot of controversy and remains a subject of discussion. Are we able to focus on several things at once or is it better to concentrate on one task at a time?
I invite you to reflect on this topic and share your insights. Multitasking is often a myth that can lead to lower productivity and increased stress. Scientific studies show that only 2% of people can effectively multitask, which means that for most of us, focusing on one task at a time is more effective.
Therefore, it is worth setting clear goals for yourself and focusing on one task at a time, rather than distracting your attention to many things at once. Task switching, constantly switching between different tasks, can lead to a decrease in work quality and an increase in stress, leading to excessive cortisol release which has a negative impact on our bodies.
Instead, it is worth using scientifically proven methods that will help reduce your stress and increase your sense of happiness and achieve a state of flow while performing a specific task. This could be regular mindfulness practice, planning your day with clearly defined goals, or taking regular breaks from work to refresh your mind.
Therefore, it is worth considering your approach to multitasking and consciously seeking ways to help you be more focused and dedicated to one task at a time. We will finish it faster and with greater satisfaction.

??Multitasking - is it worth risking your professional relationships?
Did you know that multitasking can be one of the biggest threats to your professional relationships? Scientific studies confirm that attempting to perform multiple tasks at once can lead to decreased efficiency and work quality. Here are 7 main risks associated with multitasking, supported by scientific evidence:
?Decreased concentration and attention - studies have shown that people performing multiple tasks at once have difficulty focusing on one task.
?Increased risk of making mistakes - multitasking can lead to a higher number of errors and oversights at work.
?Lower quality of tasks performed - studies have shown that people performing multiple tasks at once tend to do them superficially.

?Increased feelings of stress and fatigue - multitasking can lead to excessive mental and physical burden.
?Difficulty in remembering information - studies have shown that people performing multiple tasks at once have difficulty remembering and processing information.
?Decreased creativity - multitasking can limit the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.
?Negative impact on professional relationships - multitasking can lead to poor work organization, lack of trust, and communication within the team.
Although multitasking may seem like an attractive solution, it is worth considering its long-term effects. Scientific studies unequivocally indicate that focusing on one task at a time can be more effective and lead to better results. Therefore, it is worth consciously working on eliminating multitasking from our professional lives to increase productivity, reduce stress, and improve relationships with others. Finding ways to focus on one task at a time can bring us greater satisfaction with work and achieve a state of flow. So, it is worth considering whether it is worth risking your professional relationships through multitasking and seeking alternative, more effective work strategies.

7 个月I have to agree that multitasking hasn't helped me in the past at all. You think it does at that moment but with reflection and awareness you quickly realise it's fake economy and reduces production.
