Angela Pitale Brings Decades of Industry Experience

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - MultiState is expanding its tax policy team with the addition of Angela Pitale as senior tax policy advisor. Angela brings to MultiState decades of business tax policy experience from her tenure at Nextera Energy, where she most recently served as senior director, state tax policy. In that role, she was responsible for identifying state tax legislative risks and opportunities and seeking positive legislative outcomes. Angela is skilled in drafting tax advocacy, legislation, and amendments. She has experience in educating legislators, policymakers, and policy influencers on the impact of proposed tax legislation, building coalitions of companies with common legislative goals, and working closely with? teams of state contract lobbyists to develop and implement legislative strategies.

Angela has served in many corporate tax roles during her impressive career, including leading a mergers and acquisition tax group responsible for tax planning and due diligence in all areas of taxation, in addition to years of experience in income tax accounting, income tax forecasting, sales & use tax compliance and controversy, and implementation of several tax software solutions. She is also active in the tax policy community and regularly participates in the National Conference of State Legislatures Task Force on State & Local Taxation, the Council On State Taxation’s Policy & Legislative Steering Committee, the Tax Executives Institute (where she recently served as the U.S. State & Local Tax Committee? Chair), the Tax Foundation Conformity Working Group, and multiple renewable industry trade groups, state chambers of commerce, business and trade associations, and more.?
