Multiple Crane Order’s from Cochin Shipyard for 2 x 1200 Pax Vessel cum 1000 Ton Cargo Vessel .

MacGregor and its sister company Hiab won contracts for deck cranes after Cochin Shipyard Ltd ., floated global tender’s for 2 x 1200pax Passenger Cum 1000 Cargo vessel . The owner’s are   M/s. Andaman and Nicobar Island Administration., a government of India enterprise.  The contracts were signed in July & August 2018  for 4 No’s of  MacGregor GL type container handling Crane and 6 No’s of Hiab SeaCranes  respectively . The Cranes will be delivered in Q3/2019 .  

These vessels are designed and built as passenger vessels with electric propulsion system suitable for carrying 1200 passengers and 1000 T cargo for all weather operation on the main land to A&N Island route in India and to be designed for operation as Class III special trade passenger ship engaged on international voyage.  The basic design of these vessels are by a Kochi based ship design firm M/s SEDS who have teamed up with reputed designers ‘Knud E Hansen’ of Denmark.
