A Company should always look for the improvements. ISO will be the concrete cement to your business. We can get solution for any problem using ISO. Let take a look on the ISO 9001:2015, Clause 10.1(Improvement).
10.1: Organisations are required under the 2015 update to determine and select opportunities for improvement and implement any necessary actions to meet customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
The following must be included:
1. Product and services improvements to meet current requirements and to address future needs and expectations,
2. Correcting, preventing or reducing undesired effects,
3. Improving the performance and effectiveness of the management system.
Lets take an example,
Improvements through Motivation:
Motivating your team is vital when things appear to go wrong in a process. So get everyone to think. Appreciative coaching consists of gathering the team together and spending an hour simply talking about what is going well to accentuate the positive.
Taking time out to appreciate the strengths of the people in the team, the software, the hardware, all aspects of the process can be very motivational and might just lead to opportunities to make improvements.
For example, I have seen a team recognize good practice in one area and implement it in another area as a result of this technique, helping them to determine opportunities for improvement.
Why should I recognize people for doing their jobs? Isn’t that why they get paid?
This, unfortunately, is the response that a lot of managers and HR pros get when they propose recognition programs at their companies.
But recognition is hugely important. It helps create an emotional connection between employer and employee – a critical piece of employee engagement – and fulfills our basic needs of esteem and belonging within a group.
If people recognized frequently in a company, all the employees bring their own ideas, a new techniques. One brain(like a Manager) should choose a good idea and make that as a good practice.
Opinion about Recognition of our employee:
“People crave recognition. Recognition serves a worthwhile purpose. Recognition confirms you’re doing the right thing and encourages you to keep doing it. Plus the act of giving and receiving recognition makes both the giver and receiver feel good, thanks to the hit of dopamine, the feel-good neurotransmitter.”
Fact:
One of the best ways to motivate your people is through appreciation and recognition – the more frequent, the better. In our 2016 Work Human Research Institute Report, 79% of respondents told us recognition and rewards makes them work.
The best part is – recognition is essentially free!
Make Recognition through,
- A formalized program - like a MRM(Monthly Review Meeting) or Big Annual Program.
- Send a thoughtful email (or better yet, a handwritten note) to your team members calling out their amazing work.
- Set a Banner of that employee Photo in company's INTRANET.
Motivation is something that each of us experiences differently not all staff motivation ideas work for everyone. It’s important for managers to listen to their team and tailor techniques to fit each person.
