Multifamily is in high demand to help meet the housing needs for California. As this is a pressing item, the Energy Commission has seen the need for a new chapter in the Energy Standards that will focus on this type of housing to support the industry in a more aligned manner. The new chapter will create unity among most types of multifamily buildings under both residential and nonresidential.
Join the Statewide IOU Codes & Standards team on May 7th for a stakeholder meeting that will focus on measures relevant to the multifamily chapter restructuring code change proposal including the topics below:
- Market Analysis
- Technical Feasibility
- Cost and Energy Impacts
- Compliance and Enforcement
- Proposed Code Changes
