MULTI-DIMENSIONAL LEADERSHIP WITH KEVIN DAHLSTROM
Long before commencing this Leadership Podcast and up till this moment, I've had the good fortune to rub shoulders with some of the most accomplished people in their fields. So, anytime I have a conversation with a chief executive officer, chairman, or investor, I always attempt to dig deep and find out what makes them exceptional. While numerous factors, such as their desires, work ethics, brilliance, tenacity, communication and listening skills, and leadership abilities, go into the mix, ‘timing’ and ‘luck’ are often brought up.
And as it’s often said, “success is about timing.” However, how can you time it properly? How can one improve their skills in this area and learn to exert more command over the intangible factors of ‘timing’ and ‘luck’?
On this episode of the Everyday Leadership Podcast, I am joined by Kevin Dahlstrom . Kevin is the founder and CEO at Swell. He served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Central Pacific Bank. He has been working in FinTech for almost two decades. In addition to his rock climbing, he was a senior executive at several successful Internet and software companies in Texas and California.
We talked about purposefully constructing a kickass life, self-worth, rock climbing and life lessons learned, learning from setbacks, applying compound interest to all areas of life, remote work, family in-between moments, and lots of other interesting discussions.

When you're successful, many factors go into it, including luck, and it's hard to learn a lot. It strokes your ego. But when you fail, the reasons for failure are painfully clear.”
