Welcome to The Road to Sustainability Weekly Reviews—Sustainability approaches and strategies, week 36 of 2022.

Dear friends and colleagues,

"We are in a period of multi crises, and if you are concerned or worried about the end of the world, you’re thinking about how to prepare for the next catastrophe.?

You probably ask yourself how you’ll make it through the resurgent nuclear terror, decline of world political orders, current cultural anxieties, and climate change manifesting themselves in apocalyptic visions."

The multi-crises era is my new three-part series about taking a few steps back and putting things into perspective. I provide recommendations based on proven cases that turned their economic model into a more resilient and responsive business.

Check out this week's publication, part 2/3: “leading toward stability”:?

Where should you begin?

I appreciate your feedback and share.?

I'm glad you're here, ???Yael .?

3. Observations and insights—the multi-crises era, part 2/3: leading toward stability

Observation

It's difficult for a company to profit at the expense of society if its practices, such as depleting essential natural resources, cause long-term business disruption.

It's even more complicated if the decisions come back to haunt it in a massive lawsuit, which seems increasingly likely in an age of rising awareness and activism.

#ESG

“The temperature of the heated ESG debate continues to go up. An acronym unknown to most people not that many years ago is now attracting ire on both the left (it is only single materiality so about enterprise value creation and not true sustainability) and the right (it is an attempt by investors to impose a social and political agenda on companies which is hurting their profitability).”—Robert Eccles
