What You Focus On Grows

Have you noticed how whatever you fix your mind on seems to multiply? When we stare at the mess,?replaying the same frustrations;?the problems start to feel bigger and more overwhelming. But, when we lift our gaze and focus on hope,?possibilities, and opportunities, those things start to take centre stage.?

Your perspective shapes your reality.

Ask yourself:

???What am I magnifying in my life?

???Is it something life-giving or draining?

Abide in Spaciousness

When you look up and forward, you create space—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. ?? It’s like opening a window in a stuffy room. That spaciousness allows peace, clarity, and hope to flow. You stop feeling boxed in by the muddy mess and start noticing the infinite possibilities around you. ?

Practicing this shift isn’t about denying that the mud exists; it’s about choosing not to stay stuck in it.?

Focus Forward, Not Down

The mud puddles of life can hold us captive when we’re fixated on the mess. Looking forward doesn’t mean ignoring the challenges but deciding they won’t define your next steps. Forward focus is an act of faith—choosing to believe there’s something better ahead.

Proverbs 4:25 says, "Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you." That’s the power of focusing forward: it’s a decision to move toward that matters most.?

  1. Pause and Reflect Take a moment to ask yourself: Where am I stuck staring at the mess? What’s one area of my life where I need to lift my gaze?
  2. Practice Daily Focus Shifts When you notice your thoughts stuck on the negative, stop and consciously choose to redirect them. It could be gratitude for something small, a prayer for clarity, or a reminder of a promise you’re standing on.
