Mud on the path
This weekend on our grateful walk, Bella
joyously flew through some deep mud puddles
that when I attempted to slowly walkthrough
I sunk into the point I needed help getting out.
Bella made me think about how
Sometimes on my path of life
it also gets pretty muddy.
When I allow myself to stop
and focus on the dirt,
I sink down
and struggle to find a way out.
Sometimes I feel like I am completely stuck
but I am shown time and time again
that there is always assistance waiting…
I just have to reach out.
I’ve also noticed that when I recognize
the mud on my path that pulls me in,
I’ve learned to move through it quickly
and without giving it much of my focus.
I still might have a little dirt on me
but it washes away quickly
when I step back
into the sea of Grace.
May today if you do find mud on your path
inviting you to sink in,
may you joyfully and quickly
move on through.
If you feel stuck,
reach out as assistance
will arrive in ways you may have not thought possible
to bring us all back on stable ground
or floating in a sea of Grace together.
