McKenna Townsend wins silver at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards 2023
Co-founders, Matt McKenna and Sarah Townsend, attended the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards 2023 where we were shortlisted for the Large PR Consultancy of the Year category. We were proudly awarded silver which is a true testament to our team and core values – and always being integral to our clients’ brands and businesses.
We turbo-charged our clients’ presence and awareness at Fort Lauderdale Boat Show
Our specialist marine team was busy organising multiple press events, product launches, one-to-one media interviews and more for clients showcasing at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Our team secured sports fishing media attendees for Aquila Yachts, which had a global launch of the groundbreaking sports fishing boat, the Molokai 47. Following this, long-term client, Sunseeker International, hosted its global launch of the all-new Ocean 182 and the U.S debut of the Predator 75.?
Supporting a large care home provider with marketing and PR activity
Our team has been hard at work implementing marketing and PR activity for a specialist care home operator. We also recently developed, planned and designed an engaging new newsletter for the client - from brainstorming names to perfecting the layout and concept, each detail was carefully considered. Once the layout was set, our wordsmiths worked their magic, weaving together compelling stories and insightful content. The addition of carefully chosen images brought our clients’ vision to life, creating a valuable communication asset that keeps external audiences engaged and up to date with the latest news from the company.

Our specialist marine team has extensive experience delivering hundreds of global full-service marketing communications programmes and events for many of the world’s leading global marine brands.? The team will once again be on hand at the METSTRADE show from 15-17th November, where we’ll be supporting global brands with high-profile press events, briefings and product launches. Say hello to Charlotte, our newest member of the team??
We are really pleased to welcome Charlotte Sampson to the team as Associate Director, where she will build on the award-winning campaigns and long-standing relationships the agency has developed over the last two decades. Charlotte is a highly skilled, senior PR and marketing professional with over 12 years' experience in the outdoor and leisure industry. Charlotte will be integral to helping clients achieve their goals, developing knowledge and reputations on a regional, national and international scale.
Going the extra mile!
Dan from our in-house studio team took part in the Bournemouth Half Marathon, running an impressive 21km to raise money for Karis Kids, an organisation that helps orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda. Well done, Dan!
