We hope you've survived the weekend and maybe had a little fun along the way! We can't believe it's already November! This semester is flying by! But we are not slowing down any time soon! We had a great meeting this past Monday where we welcomed two representatives from the MSU Education Abroad Office, Norma Makki and Harshita Aadhi to walk our members through how to find programs that best suit their needs and wants.
We then had three student panelists, Tyler McAmmond , Sophia Burkmyre , and Terah M. Ceccarelli , along with two faculty members, Jorge P. , and Mike Mickunas to talk about their experiences and future opportunities abroad. For those that attended, we hope you've gained a sense of empowerment to study abroad during your time at Michigan State and expand your horizons.
We have even more in store for you this week! Join us TONIGHT, November 4th, at 6:30 PM in room M216, in the Business College Complex. Cherie Dupure, CTSM from ProAssurance will be speaking in depth about how advertising and marketing contracts work!?Come learn and grow your network while?enjoying?FREE FOOD (Chipotle). We will be providing food on a first come, first served basis. Starting at 6:15 PM.

If you're looking to get your resume reviewed, the Russell Palmer Career Management Center - Broad College of Business, Michigan State University , located in the Business College Complex, is a great opportunity for you to get help. The career center offers drop in hours, as well as allows you to make an appointment in advance. It is a fantastic resource for you to utilize. In addition to resume help, the career center?also offers free headshots, provides interview suites for students to reserve, and offers an empowerment closet where you can check out business professional clothing for free!

We are hosting our first ever Philanthropy Fair in collaboration with Broad Student Senate in celebration of National Philanthropy Day! Have you ever been curious how you can get out and about to help your own community??Maybe you are looking for volunteer hours or you enjoy serving others. This is a great opportunity to get students familiar with the world of non profit work. Some organizations will be offering internships as well! Other things include resources, volunteering, events, etc. We will be offering light food and drink and possibly prizes for going to all of the event tables!
Sign up for our Case Competition:?
Are you interested in getting some hands-on experience in marketing? Consider joining?our case competition! There will be five teams of four created with a total of 20 people participating. Team assignments and?case files will be sent out on?November 13th. Therefore, you will have one week to meet with your team and create a campaign.?
On the actual competition day, teams will present to six judges?and $300 prize pool will be awarded to the 1st place ($40 each) and 2nd place ($20 each) teams.? You can sign up with friends, requesting to be put on a team with those you know,?or you can choose to let us assign you a team. Fill out the form to let us know your preference.??

Are you bummed you weren't able to participate in the MSUMA mentorship program this semester? Have no fear! We?are now accepting ?members for the spring semester!?This will be a great opportunity for you to work on your resume, practice interviewing, or just?an excuse to meet a new friend! The goal of the program is to learn from one another and expand your outreach in Broad! Once paired with a mentor, you will discuss how frequently you want to meet and set?goals for the semester. ? ?
