- Manage and administer the organization's database systems, including MSSQL 2014, 2016, 2019, Azure SQL, to guarantee seamless data storage and retrieval
- Monitor database performance, identify and address performance bottlenecks, and optimize queries for enhanced efficiency
- Oversee database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular security audits
- Handle database backups, disaster recovery, and ensure data integrity through routine maintenance and testing
- Collaborate with software developers to design and implement database structures that support application functionalityр
- Participate in capacity planning, resource utilization analysis, and growth projections for future database requirements
- Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and outages in a timely manner
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field is preferred
- Relevant certifications in database administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional) are a plus
- Experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in database administration with a strong focus on MSSQL
- Solid understanding of database architecture, design principles, and query optimization
- Knowledge of database security best practices and implementation
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning
- Basic knowledge for Oracle, and Postgres administrations are a plus
- Fluency in English - both written and spoken
