As social media is oozing with massive amounts of content, it may get difficult for MSMEs to survive and cut through the clutter in the process of reaching their prospects. Today, I intend to share some thoughts on how to survive or better, stand out from the crowd.
Presently, as all the streets are deserted, the traffic has moved to social platforms. Everyone is honking in the form of posts, stories, videos, captions, etc, to get attention and be found. And amidst all this noise, you have an option of either adding up to that noise or staying silent. In both situations, you’re at risk of ‘not being found.’ The trick here is to find the middle way and that is by raising a signage offering help.
While it’s true that there is an upward trend in the consumption of social media channels, at the same time, there are higher chances for brands to reach a saturation point. And to avoid being there, it’s important to churn out quality. It’s okay to appear twice a week on respective social media platforms, but what matters is, how much value your appearance is adding up to the lives of your prospects. It won’t make any difference by being present all the time and not add any value in their lives.
Hence, in order to be found and heard - listen more, speak less. Understand the requirements of your prospects and see if your product or service can make their lives even a bit easier, addresses their concerns or is relevant to them and then respond. It’s okay to have a small group who’s closely associated with you than the crowd that is scattered.
The key here is to stay relevant and genuinely keep adding value.
Cheers!
