msb - working with you through COVID-19

mysalesbox, like many other organisations, has been tracking the developments of COVID-19 closely to make the most informed decisions we can; decisions which take into account the best for our employees, our customers, and our longevity. It is now clear that this situation will get worse before it gets better, and that it is going to last for an extended period of time. Many of our customers have asked how msb and spikr are managing and working in this unprecedented environment, and how we can continue to help your teams create pipeline and close deals. We take our role of supporting you and your business very seriously, and I want to be sure you have a clear view of the processes we have put in place.

It is hoped that "flattening the curve" - i.e. slowing the rate of infections - will stop the NHS from becoming overwhelmed and unable to treat those who need it. As a result, public events are now being cancelled, schools closed and workers told to work from home across the country. To that end, we are advising our customers that instead of face to face meetings, all engagements are pushed to digital facetime engagements rather than conference calls. There are three main reasons for this: 1. the human factor creates better relationships, 2. it requires more commitment, and 3. your target audience are decision makers of Enterprise organisations, who may see physical meetings as unnecessary and irresponsible at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, consult with the market, and advise on our view of the evolving attitude to physical meetings.

Whilst there are a lot of things out of our control, that doesn’t mean that the situation is not within our influence. BA and Carphone Warehouse may have made layoffs, Dublin may be shut on St. Patrick’s Day, and offices may be shutting down in capital cities. But we have a responsibility to keep the world turning. Sales figures are unforgiving at the best of times – it can therefore be a given that the situation we all face together will be equally unforgiving and that a shortfall in pipeline or closed business will be met with very pointed conversations. It is therefore imperative that we adopt a “business as usual” approach to lead generation and sales support right from the start. msb, like many companies born in the last ten years, is completely cloud-based. Our entire team is used to working remotely and each of us has the ability to work remotely for an extended period of time. Our digital platforms are underpinned with both continuity and recovery processes, to ensure continuous service.

We recognise that there is a lot of noise out there. msb's position is to keep calm, listen to the experts, and follow the science. We will continue to provide the sales and marketing services you expect of us – but in the same spirit, we all have to step up to support those whose lives and livelihoods take a hit in the weeks and months ahead. If there are things you need from us, or there are additional ways in which we can support you, please let us know. And most importantly, we wish good health for you, your families, and your communities.
