M/S Eliana Marino makes its first departure in Hansa Destinations service

On 25 April, the RoRo vessel M/S Eliana Marino will make its first trip for Hansa Destinations between Rostock and Nyn?shamn. With two vessels, we are increasing the number of departures in both directions, doubling freight capacity and boosting flexibility for carriers. As a result, Hansa Destinations moves from three to six weekly departures in both directions.

Since the launch of Hansa Destinations in August 2021, demand from customers wishing to freight goods between Sweden and Germany by sea has steadily increased. The new vessel, M/S Eliana Marino, together with M/S Drotten, will operate the Nyn?shamn - Rostock route. The new ship has 2,500 loading metres and a number of cabins for drivers.

– Last autumn we saw a gradual increase in demand with customers asking for a greater number of departures. Therefore, it feels great to double our capacity and the number of departures in both directions to provide more flexibility for our customers, says H?kan Johansson, CEO of Rederi AB Gotland.

The service provides customers with a cost-effective transport alternative, and, thanks to increased number of departures, customers now have greater flexibility and can optimize their freight planning.

M/S Eliana Marino departs from Rostock on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 19:00 hrs, arriving in Nyn?shamn at 15:00 hrs the following day. M/S Eliana Marino departs from Nyn?shamn on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 19:00 hrs, arriving in Rostock at 15:00 hrs on the following day. M/S Drotten departs from Nyn?shamn on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 19:00 hrs, and from Rostock on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 19:00 hrs.
