MS D365 F&O Business Analyst – Customer Service, Logistics and Warehousing (Global ERP Deployment)

Our client, a global and forward-thinking company undergoing a comprehensive modernization project, is in the process of replacing their legacy in-house ERP system with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O. As part of this initiative, they are looking for a skilled and dynamic Business Analyst to join their global ERP deployment project and play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and optimization of D365 F&O, focusing on the Sales and Marketing, TMS, and Warehouse modules. The Business Analyst will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that the ERP solution meets the company’s operational needs and global standards. Your expertise in Sales and Marketing, Logistic and warehousing will help streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand, document, and analyse functional requirements and translating them into effective Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) solutions, including configuration and design for module integration. Additionally, you will facilitate the implementation and support of Microsoft Dynamics ERP, resolving complex issues and handling operational escalations. Responsibilities include conducting required testing including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from pre-release testers; participating in each phase of full-cycle Microsoft Dynamics implementations, organizing working sessions with various stakeholders, providing user training and documentation on specific solutions to ensure effective use of systems, and ensuring seamless implementation and integration with other systems in collaboration with the technical team. You will be required to stay updated on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related software applications, as you'll provide end-user support, troubleshoot ERP system issues, and perform business process analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement.

To apply you should have a relevant Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Customer Service/Experience and Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Information Technology, or a related field coupled with a previous track record of 3 to 5 years of experience in implementing ERP projects with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) with specific knowledge of the Sale and Marketing, TMS, Warehouse modules within D365 F&O. A proven track record of successfully delivering ERP projects in production environments is essential. Your in-depth knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O should include hands-on configuration and optimisation, and you should be experienced with data migration, system integration, and process automation within D365 F&O. Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience with other ERP systems, particularly in multi-site, multi-country deployments and be familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

While the role can be done remotely, candidates should be based in Johannesburg to be able to go to the local office if required. You will need to have good Internet access and a plan for Load Shedding when impacted. Office hours are generally 10am to 6pm SA time. Global travel will be required from time to time.

The role requires excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You should be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced global project environment. You need to be fluent in spoken and written English and it would be an asset if you are proficient in French.
