Mrs. Entsar Hamid in the top 50 and the only Black Senior Executive in Melbourne Australia.

Across Victoria’s Local and State Government and Statutory Authorities, the public sector has a significant number of exceptional female leaders building high performing teams and transforming their communities. Mrs. Entsar Hamid, an executive in the Victorian Land Registry Services, is one of the top 50 and the only black female senior executive with in the Australia state of Victoria.  

Entsar is an accomplished administration and governance professional with more than 10 years’ experience in building government capability, driving operational excellence, change and transformation with a central focus on improved stakeholder management. With a background in government, legal and the private sector, she brings diverse perspectives and a strong understanding of the administration and continuous improvement of risk and governance management. Entsar has a track record of innovation driven by lateral thinking to solve complex problems. She is passionate about building culture, capacity and capability, along with ensuring talent is supported to deliver excellence.

It was an honor to meet Mrs. Hamid over the week-long stay in Melbourne Australia. I would like to also think Mrs. Hamid for taking time out her busy schedule to give me a brief history lesson and tour of Melbourne last week. We had an excellent conversation about the Victorian Land Registry Services effort to ensure comprehensive and consistent continuity preparedness and resilience across Victoria’s Local and State Government. We discussed some challenges with in Continuity of operations (COOP) and continuity of government (COG) planning, as well as devolution and reconstitution planning, and related technical assistance for improved coordination and stakeholder support.
